Stock Description: A very nice group of genuine autumn bulling heifers coming from an autumn block calving herd. The heifers are all Ai sired by LIC cross bred sires and born in Aug /Sep 23 only for sale due to good fertility results and surplus stock. The herd is predominantly Irish type Hol/Fr cows with a small amount of cross breeding. The heifers are well grown and in great condition ahead of breeding.
Production Capacity: The performance of this autumn block herd is impressive with 8480 litres sold @ 4.55 fat, 3.72 pro amounting to 722 kg milk solids sold per cow. The herd is tmr fed in winter and paddock grazed as soon as conditions allow in the spring onwards.
Age & Lactation: The heifers are all Aug-Sep 23 born and will be born in the first 6 weeks of the block.
TB Status: The herd is in a 12 month testing area and has never had a case of tb on farm.
Health Status: The herd is individual Johnes tested and strict protocols in place, any cows with a high reading are served to beef or culled. The herd is vaccinated for IBR, BVD and Lepto.
