Stock Description: Here we have a nice small group of Feb/Mar born heifers coming from a large well established spring calving herd. These calves are all Ai sired by leading sires from LIC, the herd has predominantly been LIC bred for many years.
Production Capacity: The breeding has been aiming for the 450-500 kg liveweight cow producing 450+ kg milk solids per year with focus on milk from grass. This has resulted in durable fertile cows producing 450kg milk solids per year on not the easiest of farms.
TB Status: The herd is located in a 6 month testing area, the herd is Johnes monitured with no calves out of known red cows. Strict protocols are in place colostrum pasteurised and high reading cows calved separately.
Health Status: All calves are reared to a high standard with adequate colostrum fed and reared in a healthy environment.
