Stock Description: Fantastic group of quality calved pedigree Holstein heifers, all calved in August and just settling down nicely, currently milking 27 litres/day on average. These heifers are not extreme but display a deep body depth with a nice sweep of rib with good chest width. Well attached fore udders with high wide rear udders with excellent teat placement which would be suited to robot milking systems. They exhibit excellent locomotion with good feet and legs.
Production Capacity: The Holstein herd averages 9300 litres with the cows grazing in the summer with buffer feed being offered, the heifers currently milking 27 litres and are increasing as they settle down.
Age & Lactation: The heifers are 24-28 months of age and look like they will mature into well balanced cows.
TB Status: The herd is in a 6 month testing area but has had no issues in the last 5 years.
Health Status: The herd is Johnes monitored with very strict systems in place, none of the heifers are out of known Johnes cows. Everything is BVD tag and tested as calves. They have been vaccinated for Ibr and Bvd.
