• Size & stature - strong type, medium sized with a predicted mid-lactation liveweight of 550kgs.
• Genetics - All AI sired and high EBI average of €257.
• Calving Dates - 27 calving in February and 5 calving in March. In-calf to Friesian AI initially and then to Angus bull.
Production Capacity: Origins of the herd are a mixture of Holstein Friesian and crossbred, which over the last number of years has moved to Holstein Friesian. While all these heifers are black & white, the breed fractions show some with small percentage of Jersey blood – not a negative for sure as it still allowing for some hybrid vigour and most importantly high solids. Source herd is breaking the 500kgMS/cow mark with ideal balance of litres output per cow and solids percentages.
